Ride of the Day: 1995 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Custom truck guys love these little Chevy S-10s. Not only are they sweet to work with, but they look tough after they’re lowered and finished out. This ’95 S-10 went from bone stock with almost no style to some serious ‘tude.

Ride of the Day: 2005 Kia Spectra

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

Believe it or not, this is a Kia Spectra. Yep, under all the body kits and retina-burning yellow paint beats the heart of a little Korean import. That sends off dangerous overtones if you’re a Japanese automaker — namely, Kia can play too.

Ride of the Day: 1972 Chevy Nova

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

The Nova has been tearing up streets since guys figured out you could strip it down and stick a huge engine in it. This ’72 represents an entire family’s effort to get an old road king back on the street, terrorizing imports — where it belongs.

Ride of the Day: 1995 Chevy Camaro

Friday, March 7th, 2008

I had one of these once, but mine wasn’t a ripped, LS2-powered monster like this one is. We aren’t sure why you’d need 800 ponies to the rear wheel — but we must admit, we’d want ‘em too, if we had the budget.

Ride of the Day: 1998 Toyota Chaser

Thursday, March 6th, 2008

If you’ve never gotten a good look at a Chaser, your best shot is while it’s parked, like this one. If it gets out on the highway, this long-nosed cruiser will get to 60 mph in under five seconds;  it can cruise up to 180 mph in a hell of a hurry and stay there […]

Ride of the Day: 1992 Nissan Skyline GTS-T

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Tricked-out Skylines never get old. This ’92 GTS-T would look cool anywhere, but it’s especially tight in its native environment. Yep, this one lives in Japan and is currently about as at-home as these Nissans can get.

Ride of the Day: 2003 Toyota Celica

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

It never ceases to amaze us how good the late model Celicas can look with a little love. This one looks like it rolled straight off the set of The Fast and the Furious, which isn’t meant as a slur in any way.  It’s tight.

Ride of the Day: 1991 Toyota Celica GT-S

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

We’re seeing a lot more of the ‘90s Celicas running around car shows and leaving burnt rubber tracks on the avenue. It’s no mystery, either — these things look good and perform just as well. The only down side: Modders have to work hard to make them look and feel like the high-end rides […]

Ride of the Day: 1989 Chevy Camaro

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

When you’re into cars at a young age, your first one’s going to be better than a lot of other people’s first rides.  Take this slamming Camaro that young Cliff built and modded himself.  Sure, it’s basic — but he did stuff a ’60s block in this ’80s RS.

Ride of the Day: 1981 Datsun 280ZX

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

This 280 has a story. Once upon a time, this custom street fighter with some bomb-ass airbrushing on the hood made heads turn as it cruised the main drag; now, it’s spare parts in someone’s field. The same kind of story happens to many a custom ride, but this one has a happy ending […]
