Hot Rod LED: Billet LED Turn Signal Mirrors
By Kevin Whipps
Watson’s StreetWorks makes these fancy billet mirrors for street rods, but if you’re a shovelhead, you could even customize your motorcycle with ‘em. LEDs shine through both the front and back of the billet aluminum assembly, so people can see which way you’re turning whether you’re coming or going. Plus, it means you don’t have to run any kind of lame fender light that looks like a pimple on Jessica Alba. Although, frankly, I don’t care if she has a pimple — she makes me think of my grandma a lot.

If you’re going to run a set of these on your shovelhead (or most other motorcycles) you’ll need to install a load equalizer. Otherwise they won’t flash as they won’t provide enough resistance (unless you continue to run regular turn signals as well).
Badlands is probably the most popular brand of load equalizer, but I’m sure there are others.
