Airbag Install Tip: Loctite 545

When putting together an airbag setup, lots of people use good old fashioned teflon tape to do the deed, but that’s not the best idea –  teflon tape can break off and get into the system, clog up valves and cause leaks.  The easy solution is Loctite 545, a thread sealant designed for use in hydraulic or pneumatic rigs with tapered threads.  It won’t foul out your valves, and it’s really easy to use.

The next time you’re plumbing a system, give it a shot.

Would this work with brake lines as well? Seems like a good application.
