Katech’s New Battle Cry
By Kevin Whipps
Katech brings the heat with a new series of engines they’re calling Desert Attack. The 427, based on the Chevrolet LS7, features titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, and a racing camshaft, and it makes 370 horses and 500 ft-lbs of torque. If that’s not enough power, you can step up to the Desert Attack 500, which uses a Dart aluminum block exclusive to Katech. This 500 ci monster puts out 700 horses and 700 ft-lbs of torque. Engines are available in full turn-key fashion with harnesses and computers available as well. Banzai!
