A Spray-On Shield For Your Front End
By Rick Reimundez
That’s right — we’ve got you covered at both ends here at Full On Custom. The Shield from Dupli-Color is a spray on bra effectively shielding your car, truck, or bike’s front end from dirt, bugs, sand, and other road debris. I know this would come in really handy for those long road trips to car shows where you don’t want your freshly detailed car to get all stuck with bugs and stuff from the trip.
You’ll need to wash your car again when you arrive, as the Shield comes off with soap and water. But you won’t need to scrape any bugs off or worry about new paint chips that weren’t there before. It’ll also work really well for those of you who take your daily drivers off road. Spray this on before you go, and it’s another layer of protection. It’s not just for your front end either; you can use it on rocker panels and fender flares.
It sprays on and dries within about a minute. While it’s on, rain, snow, and moisture in general won’t affect it. But when you’re done with it – you can power wash it off, or just remove it with soap and water. Dupli-Color also claims it won’t leave any residue on your paint.
It’s available in clear or black for about $8 a can.

Very interesting… Anyone use it yet and can vouch for it?

*If* this stuff works as advertised, I’m gonna have to buy Dupli-color stock. Wonder how long it lasts in normal driving (i’m thinking of the clear). It’d be a godsend in the midwest during the summer. Driving back to my parents house is a 200-mile affair through bug-strewn corn/soybean fields that mostly end up splattered on the front end of the Mustang.

This sounds like a good application for easy cleanup but I’m a bit skeptical about its ability to deflect rocks but would probably definitely save you from light debris, (esp sand near beaches, in deserts and construction sigts).
