Enkei’s WDM Wheels
By Sean O'Hara
These new-for-’07 Enkei WDM wheels show off what Enkei does best: looking good while going fast. They’re some of the latest wheels from Enkei’s performance line, and from what we can see from their gunmetal hotness they make the rest of the family proud.
They’re not “dubbed out” show wheels, and they don’t come in “20s.” Instead, they’re single-piece cast aluminum wheels — light enough to actually make a difference in unsprung weight. You know — the kind of thing you’d strap onto a ride that’s going to, um, exceed 55 mph on a regular basis.
The WDMs are available in sizes ranging from 15” to 18” in four or five lug patterns with offsets that will most likely fit your import or modern domestic.
Plus, the WDMs super-swooply gunmetal style won’t set you back so far you don’t have money left for additional go-power: at around $170 each you can outfit your ride and wrap ‘em in some decent rubber — without busting two grand.

Sean, I just wanted to give mad props for using the phrase “unsprung weight”. I haven’t run across anyone who even knew what that meant, let alone the handling ramifications since my days designing suspension back in school. My biggest gripe on upgrading my standard factory 16″ has always been the increased unsprung weight and rolling resistance on larger rims.
